Pattaya is possibly the most enigmatic city in Thailand. It has been described as a city of sin by some, a beach paradise by others. In fact every one can find one`s own niche without being disturbed by others. |

More than any other cities in Thailand, Pattaya has the most developed western infrastructure, that makes Pattaya so attractive for the visitor from all around the world. Living in the middle of exotic culture, one still can enjoy things, he or she used to have at home. In this meaning Pattaya is "home" away from home, but a nice drive down the coast brings the visitor back into contact with Thailand. Sattahip, Chantaburi and Trat are much more traditional. |

Pattaya has numerous markets. There are several large westernized stores. "Lotus", "Big C" and "Carrefour" are superstores while Foodland and Tops are well stocked supermarkets. "Royal Garden Plaza", "Mike Shopping Mall", "Central Festival Center", "Outlet Mall" are for bit higher fashion shopping and places for a daytime socialising.
